Fairfields Farm –

“Our families have been farming in East Anglia for three generations. We harvest potatoes, maize and rye on beautiful farmland across the Colne Valley just north of Colchester in Essex. Growing potatoes is something our families have been perfecting for three generations. Despite this long history, we’re not afraid to try new things. Particularly if by changing our methods we reduce our impact on the environment around us.

 In fact, we’re setting our sights firmly on being the UK’s first carbon neutral crisp producer. You can find out more about our sustainability journey here.

 We grow our own potatoes, which are then washed and hand cooked in the heart of the yard. We’re determined to leave the land a better place for future generation., We are focused on making their business carbon neutral and – beyond that – net zero. We also set aside land to promote biodiversity, including dedicating over 5% of the farm’s land to wild bird habitat. Vegetarian Society Vegan approved”.
